Cookie Policy
Which cookies we use, why we use them, and how to change your preferences at any time.
This policy explains what cookies this website uses, why, and how you can manage your preferences. We keep this list short and honest — if a cookie isn't listed here, we're not using it.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They're widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner.
The cookies we use
We group our cookies into three categories, in line with our cookie preferences banner. Only strictly necessary cookies are set automatically — everything else only runs if you switch it on.
Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the site to work and can't be switched off. We don't ask for consent to use them.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | Keeps you signed in and remembers information as you move between pages (for example, while filling in a form or working on a business plan). | Session (or up to 8 hours if you're signed in) |
| cookie_consent_prefs | Remembers your cookie preference choices, so we don't ask again on every visit. | 180 days |
| _GRECAPTCHA | Set by Google reCAPTCHA on our contact, registration and survey forms, to help tell real visitors apart from automated spam and bots. | Up to 6 months (set by Google) |
Performance & analytics
These would help us understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it. We do not currently use any analytics cookies — this category exists in our cookie preferences so it's ready if we introduce analytics in future, and if we do, this page will be updated first and you'll be asked for consent as normal.
Marketing
These would be used to show more relevant marketing or measure the effectiveness of campaigns. We do not currently use any marketing cookies. As with analytics, this category is reserved for future use and this page will be updated if that changes.
Other technologies
Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts and, where reCAPTCHA is active, a script from Google. These are necessary for the page to display and function correctly. Loading them may share your IP address with Google as part of normal web requests, in line with Google's Privacy Policy.
Managing cookies
You can change your cookie preferences on this site at any time using the “Open cookie preferences” link above. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you see what cookies you have and delete them individually, block cookies from particular sites, block third-party cookies, block all cookies, or delete all cookies when you close your browser. Be aware that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of this site, such as sign-in or the business plan tool, from working properly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. Any updates will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
